We collect your name, email address, and exam/level preferences when you create an account. We also collect usage data such as topics studied, quiz scores, and streak information to personalise your experience.
Your data is used solely to provide and improve the LearnInShort service — personalising study recommendations, tracking your progress, and sending optional study reminders. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
Your account data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL). Study content is served through Sanity CMS. Both services follow industry-standard security practices including encryption at rest and in transit.
We use browser local storage to save your theme preference, language choice, and exam progress. No third-party advertising cookies are used on this platform.
When you scan a textbook page, the image is sent to our AI provider to generate study cards and quiz questions, then discarded — we do not store the raw image. Only the generated text content (cards, questions) is saved.
We use Supabase for authentication and database storage, Sanity for content management, Google Gemini for AI content generation, Razorpay for payments, and Vercel for hosting. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your profile, progress, streaks, and scan history are permanently erased immediately — no waiting period. Payment transaction records are retained separately as required by Indian financial regulations, with the link to your account anonymized.
You can delete your account and all associated data yourself, anytime, from Profile → Delete my account — no email request needed, and it takes effect immediately. You can also download a copy of your data (profile, quiz history, streaks) from the same page. For any other privacy request, contact us below.
LearnInShort is intended for users aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice.
