Why This Is Free Marks
Blood relation questions appear in almost every reasoning section — SSC, Railway, TET, BPSC — and they are fully solvable with certainty. There is no estimation, no trick knowledge. If you draw the family correctly, the answer is forced.
Yet most students lose these marks. The reason is always the same: they try to hold the family in their head instead of on paper.
The rule that saves the most marks: never solve a blood relation question mentally. A diagram takes fifteen seconds and removes the possibility of error.
What examiners exploit:
1. Pointing to a man, a woman said, "His mother is the only daughter of my mother." How is the woman related to the man?
2. A is B's father, B is C's sister, and C is D's mother. How is A related to D?
3. If P + Q means P is the father of Q, and P − Q means P is the wife of Q, then what does A + B − C mean?
4. X is the brother of Y's mother. How is X related to Y?
5. Pointing to a photograph, Ravi said, "She is the daughter of my grandfather's only son." How is she related to Ravi?
6. In a family, M is the son of N. N is the sister of O. O is married to P. How is P related to M?
7. A woman introduces a man as the son of the brother of her mother. How is the man related to the woman?
8. If Q is the father of R, R is the sister of S, and S is the son of T, then how is T related to Q?
