Welfare schemes are the cheapest marks in a general studies paper. There is nothing to derive and nothing to reason out — a scheme either began in 2015 or it did not, and it either sits under the Ministry of Rural Development or it does not.
Students still lose these marks, and always the same way. They revise scheme names and the paper asks for an attribute: the launch year, the implementing ministry, the exact entitlement, or the town the scheme was launched from.
Fix the habit now. For every scheme store four things and only four — what it gives, to whom, which ministry runs it, and the year it began. Four slots, filled the same way every time, is what turns a hundred schemes into one revisable page.
SSC CGL and CHSL general awareness, RRB NTPC and Group D, BPSC TRE-4 general studies and the classroom-framed general awareness items in CTET all draw from the same short list of flagship schemes.
