Four or five sentences arrive out of order and you are asked to rebuild the paragraph. Most candidates read all of them, feel the meaning roughly, and then pick whichever option looks least wrong. That is guesswork with extra steps, and it is why para jumbles have a reputation for being unfair.
They are not unfair. A paragraph is held together by physical signals in the words themselves — a pronoun that must point backwards at a noun, an article that turns from 'a' into 'the', a connector that cannot begin a passage, a time word that fixes an order. Those signals are visible without understanding the topic at all.
The method is three moves. Find the sentence that can open. Find one pair you are certain about. Use that pair to strike out options.
You will often reach the answer without ever ordering the middle sentences, because the option list does the remaining work for you.
